Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca | Rabat
The tour will begin from Casablanca - the largest city of morocco. If you arrive early, you can go for sightseeing in Rabat and visit the Hassan II Mosque, which is famous for its Minaret (tallest in the globe). If you arrive late, you may have to rest the night in the beautiful city of Casablanca and visit Rabat the next day.
Day 2: Rabat | Meknes | Volubilis | Fez
If you didn’t get the opportunity to explore the intriguing marvels of Rabat on Day 1, you can do that in the morning before traveling towards Meknes, which is one of Morocco’s less explored treasures. Built by ten thousands of slaves on the orders of the tyrannical rulermoulay ismail Meknes is known to be the ‘Versailles of Morocco’. The city is overlooked by many travelers but if you decide to take a tour guide with you you’ll find many attractions, namely Heri es Souani, the place where Sultan Moulay Ismail tamed his 12,000 horses, along with his peaceful tomb that he had constructed during his control to ensure it would add to the glory and grandeur of his imperial city. You will also get a chance to see the Bab Mansour, which is said to be one of the country’s most remarkable gates!
Your next stopover will be Volubilis. One of the most secluded outposts of the Roman Empire, this city is the perfect place to explore the Roman ruins and its archaeological wonders. Once a flourishing provincial city, it only takes a bit of imagination to perceive the street bustling with toga-clad governors and scurrying peasants. You will be spending the night in Fez, which is the historic center of Arts and Sciences in Morocco.
Day 3: Fez Guided Visit
If you want to connect with the heart and soul of Morrocco, Fez is the place to go! More than just a funky hat with a twirl,fes is mysterious  box of fun and exotic delights for those travelling on this incredible best of morocco vacation . Unraveling the city’s charms in its nine thousand roads and alleyways would take more than just a lifetime, but luckily, your local tour guide will show you the city’s beautiful attractions – including the tanneries, the Fondouk Nejjarine, and the diverse craft souks – in just one day! Other attractions in this mesmerizing city include the Batha Museum, the King’s Palace and Jewish Quarter, and the Pottery Complex. The tour will last for about 8 hours, with lots of sightseeing and story-telling.
Day 4: Fez | Ifrane | Cedar Forest | Ziz Valley | Erfoud
Day 4 will start off with a lengthy drive accompanied by mesmerizing views. You’ll depart from Fez at 7 AM (tentative) and head towards Ifrane – a city established when the French Protectorate was an administrative center and is now used a delightful retreat from the scorching summer heat! The next stop will be Cedar Forest, but on the way you’ll visit Ziz Valley and Erfoud town – the biggest manufacturer of dates in Morocco. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the breath-taking beauty of nature and witness 283 different types of palm trees, along with the most delectable and pricey ones – Mejhoul!
The highlight of this day will be an appetizing lunch with the Zayan Travel’s native coordinator, Rachid, and his family. Rachid lives in a conventional Kasbah, which he shares with his family. You must be wondering what’s unique about this lunch? Well, whatever you’ll eat here, most of the ingredients used in it will be straight from Rachid’s beautiful garden. If you have children accompanying you, then this is likely to be thehighlight oftheir trip, as they’ll get to see and play with the family’s goats, chickens, and donkeys while you can stroll through the beautiful date palms and farms that enclose this tiny village. Afterward, you’ll be heading towards Erfoud before the night falls.
Day 5: Sahara Desert (Erg Chebbi)
This morning you will have some spare time on your hands before you depart for merzouga and make your way into the mesmerizing golden ridges of the Saharan Desert. You will get an opportunity to pack a small bag for your overnight trip before picking your ‘vessel of the desert’ (your chosen camel), who will take you through the stunning sandy trails. After an hour long journey, you’ll get a chance to witness the spectacular view as the sun sets over the gorgeous Saharan dunes.
You’ll be spending the night in an amazing Bedouin style pavilion complete with cribs, sheets, blankets and proper western bathroom facilities. The area inside is covered with lush Moroccan carpets, giving off a nomadic vibe! You can opt for the deluxe tents as well, where each tent has its own facilities such as a A/C, steaming shower, a sink, and western toilets. Whatever you choose, spending the night right under the starts will truly be a magnificent experience!
Day 6: Merzouga – Tinrhir – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley - Skoura (Valley of Kasbahs)
On Day 6, you will wake up to the beaming sun, as it starts illuminating the sky with its magnificent rays. Don’t forget to capture some snapshots before you head back to Erfoud, because you’ll surely want to cherish this picturesque view!
On your way back, you’ll have a chance to view the local villages closely before you take a stopover to witness the scenic rock monsters – sheer stone cliffs at Todra Gorge. Lunch will be served here. After this, you will resume your journey and move through the scenic Dades valley where you’ll see another spectacular rock formation, known as the Monkey Paws. You will the continue your drive towards Skoura Oasis, known to be the “Valley of Kasbahs”.
Day 7: Skoura | Ouarzazate | Ait Ben Haddou | Telouet | Marrakesh
After Skoura, you’ll visit Ouarzazate, which is home to the Taourirt Kasbah (a foretress of the Glaoui family who once governed the south side of Morocco). You will then travel to one of the most well-preserved Kasbahs throughout the Atlas region aitbenhadoo kasbahwhich is also a popular UNESCO World Heritage Site. This beautiful Kasbah was used as a background in many historical films, including The Last Temptation of Christ, the Lawrence of Arabia, and Gladiator; so don’t be surprised if it seems somewhat familiar!
You’ll also get a chance to visit the mighty Telouet, a less frequently visited Kasbah, which was once an opulent and influential throne of the Gloaui family. This stopover will take one hour approximately. Here, you will have a unique lunch experience, where you eat with a native (and once popular artist) performing for you. The next attraction will be the Tizi n Tichka passage. Although people say that it has 340 bends but in actuality, there are only 2, left and right, which have been repeated a countless number of times. After passing through the Tiz n’Tichka passage found in the High Atlas Mountains, you’ll reach your last stop for the day, i.e., Marrakech.
Day 8: Marrakesh Guided Visit
Your best of Morocco journey will continue with a guided tour on Day 8, to uncover the beautiful mysteries of the Marrakech Medina. Wandering on the narrow pathways of the city along with your expert guide, you will experience the centuries-old Marrakech as your guide tells you about the history of some of the city’s magnificent monuments (and their not-so-magnificent pasts). Tale-telling will surely be the highlight of this day. Day 9: Marrakesh to Casablanca
Depending upon the time of your flight the day after, you can either choose to remain in Marrakech or move to Casablanca in the afternoon to unwind and prepare for your retreat the next day.
Day 10: Depart Casablanca
